The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), in partnership with Storyland Studios, published The 2024 TEA Global Experience Index™ that includes a study of attendance at major water parks during 2024 and compares that attendance to attendance during 2023. TRIPinfo has retained attendance figures from previous years.
The total combined attendance of the top 20 water parks in North America was 13.9 million, down 1.8% from 2023. The Orlando water park market continued to top the list, with facilities benefiting from the major theme parks that draw guests to the area. Disney's Blizzard Beach makes a comeback to the list in 2024, having been absent from the Top 20 during the pandemic due to alternating operating schedules with Typhoon Lagoon, with Typhoon Lagoon being open during higher visitation periods. For 2025, both properties operated during the busy spring and summer months, so Blizzard Beach’s attendance is expected to grow considerably from 2024. Looking ahead, the water park market is expected to remain reliable and stable.
