Royal Caribbean has revealed the name and lineup of its third Icon Class vacation – Legend of the Seas. This new venture is set to transform family vacations with its debut in July 2026. The company's innovative Icon Class offerings will sail year-round from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, starting in November 2026.

The Legend of the Seas will initially offer summer adventures in Europe with 7-night Western Mediterranean vacations from Barcelona. Following her summer voyages, the ship will embark on 6-night Western Caribbean and 8-night Southern Caribbean vacations, which will include visits to Royal Caribbean's award-winning private destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas.

Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International, expressed enthusiasm about this development, stating that Legend of the Seas is "the next bold step in this exciting era of vacations and the continuation of the Icon Class legacy."

The ship's summer itinerary includes visits to bucket-list destinations in France, Italy, and Spain, while winter voyages will take vacationers to magnificent Caribbean destinations. These will include top spots like Oranjestad, Aruba, Falmouth, Jamaica, and Willemstad, Curacao.

The ship, currently under construction in Turku, Finland, will offer more than 40 dining and drink options, adrenaline-filled adventures, and plenty of opportunities for relaxation. The Legend of the Seas will also feature the company's fourth ship powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and a suite of industry-leading environmental programs.

The Legend's offerings will also include the Crown's Edge, a part skywalk, part ropes course, and part thrill ride, as well as the largest waterpark at sea, Category 6. There will be seven pools catering to different moods, including the largest pool at sea, the Royal Bay, and the adults-only Hideaway with a unique infinity pool suspended above the ocean. For families, the three-story Ultimate Family Townhouse will offer reimagined spaces for everyone.
