Rocking Pink Rocks
SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA - Meet Sioux Falls' namesake. Here in the beautiful 123-acre Falls Park are the powerful Falls that gave the South Dakota city its name. An average of 7,400 gallons of water drop 100 feet over the course of the Falls each second. An easy walk from downtown Sioux Falls, Falls Park is also home to some of Sioux Falls' first buildings, beautiful rocky pink outcrops of Sioux quartzite, permanent sculptures, a 5-story observation tower, walking paths, a cafe and a gift shop.
